The Former Residence of Sun Yat-sen, the national key cultural relic under protection, is located in Cuiheng Village, Zhongshan of Guangdong, China. Covering an area of 500 m2, it is a two-storey wooden house with three rooms with the construction area of 340m2. The former residence has a distinctive main hall as it blends the styles of the east and the west, with the exterior modeled on western classic architecture while the interior designed in line with the traditional Chinese style of local dwellings. The former residence faces the west but other houses in Cuiheng Village face the east. Around the house there are gates leading to the outside and lots of windows and corridors inside, convenient for daily life.
